Glycerol, also known as glycerol, is a viscous, colourless, odourless liquid that is an intermediate product of alcoholic fermentation and belongs to the triglyceride group. It is highly valued for its moisturising and emollient properties and is therefore widely used in cosmetics.

One of the best known glycerine-based products is soap. These soaps have a low pH and act as emollients, helping the skin to retain and regain its natural moisture level.

Glycerin is also found in moisturising creams with anti-ageing properties, as it softens the skin and increases its elasticity. It has excellent soothing properties, so it is effective in relieving irritations, acne marks or minor burns, and helps speed up healing. It is also found in shaving lotions, as it reduces friction, and in hair care cosmetics such as serums and masks.

How to use

Use for daily hand cleansing.
