The ecoegg laundry egg is a 2 in 1 replacement for washing powder and fabric softener, giving you a greener laundry solution. It effectively cleans clothes using two types of granules - white laundry granules and black tourmaline granules - encased in a recyclable, refillable laundry egg tray.

The white granules perform the washing function, while the black granules increase the effectiveness of the white granules by reducing the surface tension of the water and drawing out the soiling. Laundry detergent granules are formulated to be gentle on the skin and do not contain chlorine bleach, phosphates, parabens, SLS/SLES or palm oil, so there is much less itchy detergent residue on clothes compared to traditional detergents and fabric softeners.

Our vegan founder Dawn personally struggled with eczema growing up. Her own struggle made her aware of her skin's sensitivity to conventional laundry detergents, which inspired her to invent a new type of laundry detergent that is much gentler on the skin. Our formula is lightly fragranced to be gentle on sensitive skin and Dermatest has carried out dermatological tests and rated it as 'excellent' for sensitive skin. While many of us are familiar with strong chemical scented laundry detergents, strong scent does not always mean clean. We'll get the job done while being gentle on the skin.

For best results with Laundry Egg, we recommend detoxifying your washing machine with ecoegg washing machine detox tablets before using Laundry Egg and then detoxifying once a month.
